The central task of labor education in the new era is to help modernize Chinese education. The essence of this task is to emphasize the combination of education and labor, and the practical problem to resolve is the alienation of labor education activities. The core goal of labor education in the new era is to improve the construction of the national education system, and the core value is to promote the comprehensive development of students' quality. The purpose of labor education in the new era is to cultivate students to establish the concept of respecting and loving labor, help students to carry forward the spirit of rejuvenating the country through hard work, develop students' innovative and creative spirit and their ability to keep pace with the times, train students to form the habit of physical and mental participation by using both hands and brains, encourage students to develop the quality of being diligent, thrifty, and hard-working. In the new era, labor education should start with “education system construction”, focus on “education system governance”, optimize labor curriculum settings, and establish a systematic labor education curriculum system. We should carry out extensive labor practice and establish a comprehensive coordination system, and establish a diversified evaluation system of labor education. We should strengthen top-level policy design and establish a regular labor education security system.
